Happy Snow Day and Veterans Day!

Yesterday we had a visit from Ms. Sabin.  Ms. Sabin is coming to our classroom to talk with us about staying healthy!  We had a lot of fun being active while learning with her today.  The students also had a chance to be taste testers.  Ms. Sabin showed us how to make fruit roll ups, and then we got to taste them.  Most of us loved them.  Check out our pictures!

We ended the day talking about Veterans Day.  Each child made a soldier and wrote a letter to a Veteran thanking them for keeping us safe.  These letters and soldiers were sent to the Veteran's Hospital in Iron Mountain. 

I hope that everyone enjoyed their snow day and I look forward to seeing everyone in the morning.

We had fun learning about Election Day today! We read two great books "Duck for President" by Doreen Cronin and "Grace for President" by Kelly DiPucchio.  Then we talked about the process and importance of voting. Next students took turns voting in our class election. They got to vote for indoor or outdoor recess.  They also were able to choose our snack for the day.  It was fun to watch the excitement in their eyes as they placed their vote.  Enjoy our pictures from the day!

On Wednesday, last week, we celebrated Ryder's 6th birthday.  Happy birthday, Ryder!

On Friday we had our PRIDE Assembly. Congrats to Calum and Reagan on being our Students of the Month and also to Tristen on being our Student of the Day!  Great Job!

We ended our day on Friday with a little shape bingo and some special Halloween snacks.  Thank you to Curtis and Emma for bringing in some yummy snacks.

This morning Mr. VanDamme came to our class and awarded the following students a special treat for their perfect anntendance during the first marking period.

Today we celebrated Kaos 6th birthday.  Happy Birthday Kaos!  

Another exciting week in Kindergarten!  On Tuesday, we had a visit from Officer Nault.  He talked with us about fire safety.  Later in the week Ethan brought a book he wrote "Garden Book." We were so glad he brought his book to share.  It even inspired a few others to start their own books.  Parents if your child writes a book please send it in for them to share. :) Friday was a day of celebration.  We started off celebrating Paige's birthday and finished the day celebrating my birthday.  Two special treats in one day! What a great day to finish the week!  Have a great weekend.

Today we used the iPad cart.  The students learned how to log-in to Lexia, which is a reading site we use to practice fundamental literacy skills.  It will take some practice but we will be able to log-in soon all by ourselves :) Have a great weekend!
