Today we celebrated Kaos 6th birthday.  Happy Birthday Kaos!

Another exciting week in Kindergarten!  On Tuesday, we had a visit from Officer Nault.  He talked with us about fire safety.  Later in the week Ethan brought a book he wrote "Garden Book." We were so glad he brought his book to share.  It even inspired a few others to start their own books.  Parents if your child writes a book please send it in for them to share. :) Friday was a day of celebration.  We started off celebrating Paige's birthday and finished the day celebrating my birthday.  Two special treats in one day! What a great day to finish the week!  Have a great weekend.

Today we used the iPad cart.  The students learned how to log-in to Lexia, which is a reading site we use to practice fundamental literacy skills.  It will take some practice but we will be able to log-in soon all by ourselves :) Have a great weekend!

Who knew that candy could help you with your homework!!!! My Kindergarten class was very excited today to explore 3D Shapes using candy.  We talked about Cones (Hershey Kisses), Spheres (Whoppers), Cubes (Carmels), and Cylinders (Tootsie Rolls).  Then we used the candy to help us answer some questions about our 3D shapes.  The kids had a lot of fun, and the best part was tasting the candy when we were all done.
